Tim Maris FCA

Tim is UHY Hacker Young’s agricultural expert – having qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991 whilst working in the agricultural department of Grant Thornton in Bedford and then gaining commercial experience working as a management accountant for a large farming business on the edge of the Fens. Tim joined the practice in August 1997 and became a Partner on 1 January 2000. Tim is a graduate of Seale Hayne Agricultural College, Newton Abbot, Devon.

John Sheehan FCA

John is UHY Hacker Young’s Tax Partner, advising clients on many aspects of UK taxation. He trained and qualified with Grant Thornton in Bedford. John has extensive experience in supporting local farmers on all aspects of taxation.

Graham Boar ACA

As director of taxation services Graham undertakes a variety of tax planning exercises for our farming clients including estate and succession planning. Graham is also regularly in dialogue with branches of HM Revenue and Customs, defending investigations into clients’ tax affairs, undertaking remedial work or managing interaction between the Revenue and our client base.

Andrew Redman ACA

Andrew is a farmer’s son from Bedfordshire and is an active member in his local young farmers club. Andrew has an audit background and brings his commercial experience to the rural and agriculture team. He primarily works with rural businesses that have diversified.

Hayley Squires

Hayley has over eight years experience supporting farming clients as part of the Farming Accountants team. She has a good understanding of the leading farm computer based packages, utilising them to prepare annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and companies.
